Message From the Camp Board of Directors:

We are looking forward to a wonderful camp this year for St. Michael’s Camp at Madge Lake.

We would like to pass on some information to you about registration and departure days for the week.  For parents dropping off children the park staff will issue a courtesy pass, which is only good for your vehicle to go directly to the camp and leave.  No other park facilities may be accessed.

Registration Day (July 9th & July 16th)

Sunday

3:00 – 4:00 pm – Registration

4:15 – 5:15 pm – Welcome Divine Liturgy

5:30 – 6:30 pm – Family BBQ and Goodbye

Departure Day ( July 15th & July 23rd)

Saturday

1:00 – 1:30 – Parent’s Program

1:30 – 2:00 pm – Signing the board/Camp clean up/Pack-up

2:00 – 3:00 pm –Departure from Camp

Teen Camp Registration and Departure (July 23rd to July 26th)

Sunday (Arrival)

11:00 am – Registration

Wednesday (Departure)

5:00 – 6:00 pm – Signing the board/Camp clean up/Pack-up

6:00 pm – Departure from Camp

Little Mike’s Family Camp (July 27th to July 30th)

Thursday (Arrival)

3:00 – 4:00 pm – Registration

Sunday (Departure)

1:00 – 2:00 pm – Signing the board/Camp clean up/Pack-up

2:00 pm – Departure from Camp

Camp Checklist

Here is a check-list for what you should bring to camp:

  • Toiletry kit (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, comb/brush, facecloth, etc.)
  • 2 towels (beach and showers)
  • Ice cream pail for washing – please label with a permanent marker
  • Hat (no visors please because they don’t protect your head from the sun)
  • Water bottle
  • Sunscreen
  • Bug spray (with DEET)
  • Sleeping bag, pillow, extra blanket
  • Air/foam mattress (bed sheet) –  This is a necessity as our bunks are plywood; if you are bringing an air mattress please remember to bring something to place between the plywood to protect your air mattress.
  • Pyjamas
  • 4-6 pairs of underwear
  • 1-2 bathing suits * bikinis are not allowed, if a bikini is all a child has she will be asked to wear a tank top or t-shirt over top
  • 6-8 pairs of socks
  • 1-2 pairs of pants
  • 4-5 pairs of shorts
  • 6-8 t-shirts
  • Light jacket/fleece
  • Warm jacket
  • Rain gear
  • Shower/beach bag (backpacks work really well)
  • 3 pairs of shoes i.e.  sandals/runners/rubber boots
  • Needed medication – all medication should be left with the Director with detailed written instructions upon registration
  • Rosary
  • Flash light
  • Cards or books to be used during rest period
  • 1 box of cereal per family for sharing with others for breakfast in the morning

Please do not bring any electronic devices – MP3 players, Ipods, stereos, hand held games, cell phones, etc.  IF YOU BRING ONE OF THESE DEVICES YOU CAN EXPECT TO HAVE IT CONFISCATED AND NOT RETURNED UNTIL THE LAST DAY OF CAMP.

Please make sure to label all of your belongings clearly.
