Here’s the group of fantastic and enthusiastic people that will make your camp experience one to remember!

Jonny Lashyn

Jonny Lashyn

Camp Director

My name is Jonathan Lashyn, (but people frequently call me Jonny or Jon).
I played hockey for three years just south of Edmonton in Camrose, Alberta right after high school and then I then was fortunate to play four years of hockey at Merrimack College, and just recently finished playing there this past spring.
I was home-schooled from grade two through grade twelve.
Growing up I played guitar, piano, and violin. After ten years I have recently began to pluck the guitar strings again.
I also enjoy reading and going for peaceful walks.

I am looking forward to camp, as it combines Faith, fun, food, and friends!!

Sister Janet

Sister Janet

Spiritual Advisor - Youth Camp

Meet Sr. Janet Kozak, a Sister Servants of Mary Immaculate, since 1989. Originally from Vancouver, BC, she currently lives in Toronto, and has served in Mundare AB, Saskatoon, Ottawa, Calgary, Winnipeg and Ancaster ON. She has been coming to St. Michael’s Camp for almost 25 years and remembers vividly, her first experience of Camp in 1990, especially being attached by a million "Raid- intoxicated" moths in the soon-to-be-condemned Sisters cabin, running with coyotes and sleeping in the car that night. For Sr. Janet, Camp is the experience of "coming home", where in diversity of characters, all experience some level of love and acceptance. "We Are Family." This is what keeps her coming back. Her dislikes...mosquitoes and spiders. Her likes... the campers, the staff, good night hugs, burning stuff at camp fire, teen off-site community work projects, and of course anything neon green.

Camp Counsellor

I am seventeen and a third generation St. Michael’s camper. I have been attending camp every summer since I was eight years old. Being outdoors and having the opportunity to go to the lake almost every day sums up my ideal summer. During the school year I participate in my school`s choir and vocal jazz group. When I am not in school I am either dancing, playing piano or joining in my youth group`s activities. Can`t wait to see you all at camp!
